The Akron-Summit County Public library project was a renovation and expansion creating a 262,000 square foot facility. The project focus was expanding community outreach and so the program included multiple meeting spaces provided with audio-visual systems and a multi-purpose auditorium for lectures, presentations and theatrical performances. HMBA provided acoustical, theater and audio-visual consulting for the project designed by architect Gwathmey Siegel.
