The Multi-Media Center at Lehman College was a renovation of an existing library with double height ceilings into a television and audio production facility. The main studio was designed to accommodate both video and audio recording capabilities. HMBA designed custom acoustic panels that either provide absorption for video productions or diffusion to create an acoustical environment more suited to audio recording.
The facility included a post-production suite of editing and graphics rooms tied into a central server, the multi-journalism department newsroom, dressing rooms, classrooms, audio control, video control and equipment rooms. HMBA provided acoustical, broadcast systems, and information technology designs including preparation of competitive bid documents for the broadcast systems along with television lighting systems.
