The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum expansion was designed by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop and features new exhibition galleries, an education workshops and a 296 seat recital space, Calderwood Hall, primarily used to accommodate their renown concert series curated by Scott Nickrenz.
The project cost was $118M and was opened to the public in 2012. HMBA was the audio-visual consultant for the project which included audio and video systems for the gathering and assembly spaces of the project.
