Raymond Kent is a Principal at Harvey Marshall Berling Associates. He manages delivery of Audio-Visual, Lighting, and Theater consulting services provided by the firm for the Cleveland office. With close to four decades of experience, Raymond has worked on projects throughout the United States as well as in China, Gabon, Dubai, U.A.E, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Raymond is involved in all aspects of each project, from programming through design to construction administration and commissioning in addition to owners representation services.
Prior to joining HMBA, Raymond was a Global Senior Design Leader in Cultural and Performing Arts for the firm DLR Group where he was a Client Leader and Project Manager for premiere arts clients while also leading the specialty design services including acoustics, audioivisual, lighting, IT and Security, and theater planning and design.
Additionally, Raymond was the Managing Partner for Sustainable Technologies Group, LLC focusing on delivering high impact sustainable technology design for cultural and performing arts, partnering with premiere architectural firms, such as Norman Foster and Partners, VOA, Cooper Carry, and Farshid Moussavi. In conjunction with this, Raymond also founded and led The Innovative Technology Design Group, a suite of specialty services including acoustics, audiovisual, lighting, IT and security, digital media content design, and theater technology, for Westlake Reed Leskosky until both WRL and Sustain Tech merged with DLR Group in 2016.
Raymond is a frequent presenter, keynote, and author on a variety of topics for key cultural organizations and publications including on sustainability in the arts, accessibility, augmented and virtual reality in the arts, and artifical intelligence.
